I read this morning's The New Paper on the report by Sylvia Toh Paik Choo on the helix bridge and how the region looked like 4 decades ago.
It was interesting how I just posted about it and the Bayfront just yesterday and the whole thing and its likes appeared in today's paper. I swore I knew nothing about the Big Walk @ Marina Bay, that prompted this report.
Just 40 years ago, this entire site was the sea. Reclamation of the site commenced in 1969. Now it is concrete, steel and mirrors etc. 4 decades from now, I may no longer be around to see the changes, but others will witness the progress of this nation through the ages.
I just love today's The New Paper. It rocks!
