SINGLE OR DOUBLE
This is the best way to show the differences between a single-petaled flower and a double-petaled flower.
The former has only a single whorl of petals whilst the latter has usually two or more whorls of petals. Get it?
So which group does the rose belong to?
By the way, it seems butterflies prefer single-petaled flowers as nectar plants.
