BEAUMONTIA JERDONIANA

This very interesting vine from the Apocynaceae Family are known by its common names Nepal Trumpet Flower, Easter Lily Vine etc.

I saw the mature specimen in Thailand and it almost completely overwhelm the host tree it was growing on. The abundant white flowers were everywhere. So I bought this vine as a small plant and grew it beside this Pterocarpus macrocarpus. However, for a very long time, it remained below 2 m. Recently, it started to show a growth spurt and suddenly the apical shoot was about 5 m high up in the tree.

A careful look at the 2nd photo would show the vine climbing and twining up the tree like a snake. Now, it is time to wait for the flowering.
