This was the view from the Visitor's Centre. The Silver Garden terraces were in sight but the picturesque view was spoilt by the industrial building peeping from the left.
The Kent Ridge hills can also be seen from this vantage point. The tall and solitary Pterocarpus macrocarpus tree separated the industrial building and Kent Ridge. But the crown was not big enough to block away the building facade.
So a Eucalyptus tree was planted by me and hopefully with time, its tall lanky form and silvery crown would screen off part of the ugly view. What remains would just be a peep at the Kent Ridge vegetation on the hill.
