TAMARINDUS INDICA

This Tamarind tree from the Fabaceae (Leguminosae) Family was transplanted twice - once from its original habitat to HortPark's main entrance and again to this second location at Floral Stitches.

Fortunately, it not only survived the transplanting but it recovered pretty well for a tree of this size and age. However, it has yet to flower or produce the legumes or edible and sour tamarind fruits used in savouring dishes.
