I came across this beautiful bird Megalaima haemacepphala on 10 May 10. According to a very knowledgeable colleague, it is supposedly a common resident bird in Singapore and the name is derived from its loud and repeated calling of "tong, tong, tong". Why did it show me its bum in the fourth photo? So rude!
