The Hamelia patens I bought about 3 months back has flowered. I encountered the Olive-backed Sunbird along my corridor rather frequently. In fact, there was just one that flew and perched on my Brugmansia branch this morning just as I walked past to go to work.

By the time I stopped in my tracks, the startled bird flew off immediately before I could greet it with my camera.

Hopefully, the flowers of this plant would attract the adults to roost and build a nest here.
