There used to be 2 such Casuarina species in the area. Recently, one died. So what is left at the site from HortPark leading to Kent Ridge Park is this remaining tree.
I wanted to capture photos of this tree in case something happens to it someday. Unlike the more common, fast-growing and tall C. equisetifolia (common name: Common Ironwood, Australian Pine; Family: Casuarinaceae), this is a smaller species although I have no idea of the exact identity of this tree.
