WHITE GHOST

This is a ghost that is around day and night.

I planted this Euphorbia lactea 'White Ghost' at the Arbor Garden for about 6 months now in tidying up the theme garden for the Clean and Green Singapore 2009. Some of the common names include Dragon Bones, Candle-stick Tree etc.

I appreciate its white beauty, which is much unlike the more common green variety and which is the main highlight of this plant. Whilst it is relatively slow growing, it is doing very well in this sunny spot that I grew it. However, one needs to be cautious when handling euphorbes because their white sap is poisonous and it should not get into the eyes or mouth etc for safety reasons.

I certainly hope it would remain at HortPark for a long time because this thorned beauty is not hard to love.
